ARRIVE ALIVE GUARANTEE

HGC knows healthy corals just ship better. Providing healthy corals is what we do here. In the very rare and unlikely event that your purchase arrives D.O.A., simply follow the steps below to submit a claim.  We will review and validate your claim. If approved, we promptly issue store credit for the original purchase price of the D.O.A coral. This credit can be used to be used on your next order. Shipping costs unfortunately cannot be credited.  The arrive alive guarantee is only applicable to shipped orders that arrive on time. Carrier delays and damage are not covered by this policy but are covered if you opt in for Shipment Protection. Pick up orders, please carefully examine your coral(s) before leaving our facility. This policy applies to shipments within the continental US only. 
 

 1. If you experience a D.O.A., you MUST contact us at HolyGrailCorals@gmail.com within 1 hour of the actual delivery time. You must be available to accept shipments and process your live animals in a timely manner. Anything submitted after the first hour will not qualify for the guarantee, Delay caused by incorrect shipping address provided to us will not be guaranteed.
 

 2. DO NOT REMOVE ORIGINAL PACKAGING/SEAL. Contact us immediately with clear pictures on arrival of the dead coral.
 

 3. DO NOT THROW OUT THE CORAL(S) until we have validated your claim.
 

 4. You may be asked to provide more pictures under white or blue lights if necessary.
 

 5. If everything checks out, credit or replacement(s) will be issued on next order.

Please Note: Corals are live animals. As hobbyists we have a responsibility to care for and save lives of the creatures we keep whenever possible. Shipping can be stressful on live coral despite every effort being made to minimize stress and damage. It is your responsibility to care for your new corals regardless of the condition they arrive in. If a coral is damaged in shipping, you must do everything in your ability to revive and help it recover. If this is not in your skill set, no problem. HGC is always available to assist you in the care of your animals. Damaged or stressed is NOT Dead on Arrival. The HGC arrive alive guarantee cover corals that actually perished in the shipping process. 

Please note: All shipments must be accepted upon first delivery attempt. Buyers are required to acclimate and care for live corals within 1 hour of delivery to ensure their health and survival. Refusing a shipment will void all policies, guarantees, and protections, including DOA (Dead on Arrival) coverage. No refunds, replacements, or store credit will be issued for refused shipments under any circumstances.

Meat Corals: Large fleshy corals like acanthophyllia, cynarina, scolymia, indophyllia, wellsophyllia, and trachyphyllia, can look horrific upon arrival. You may see skeleton protruding and it may look severely damaged. Rest assured, this is perfectly normal. When these corals inflate and settle in, they will look normal. Significant retraction and deflation is typical in these corals and many hobbyist never see corals in this state. If you receive a coral like this give it some time in a stable environment with proper placement. It will inflate and look beautiful. This can take several days. SHIPMENT PROTECTION 

Shipment protection is optional but highly recommended. Despite every effort being made to condition and pack corals with the utmost care, carrier delays and damage can and do happen. With Shipment Protection, for a small fee, you can protect your purchase against loss due to carrier delays and damage. Simply add Shipment Protection to your order to be covered. 

HGC Shipment protection covers D.O.A due to carrier delay or damage. If you experience a D.O.A. please follow the same procedure as the arrive alive guarantee as outlined above. We will review and validate your claim.  If approved, we promptly issue store credit for the original purchase price of the D.O.A coral. This credit can be used to be used on your next order. Shipping costs unfortunately are not covered and cannot be credited. This policy applies to shipments within the continental US only.

At HGC we care about you, your reef, and your hobby experience. We do everything in our power to provide quality corals, fish, and products to you. We hate when things don't go smoothly for our customers. In the unfortunate event that you experience a D.O.A., in addition to the benefits of our policies above, we provide you with a 15% discount code for your next purchase. It's our way of saying sometimes life sucks and we're sorry. 

 

SHIPPING

HGC uses top quality shipping supplies and uses industry leading packing techniques to protect your corals during their journey. We ship all live coral UPS or Fed Ex overnight air. Orders can be shipped Monday to Wednesday. Orders over $400.00 will receive free shipping automatically. Please add an order note specifying your preferred shipping date. Once an order leaves our facility, shipping costs are non-refundable regardless of the reason. Merch items and dry goods will ship separately at no additional charge. These items are not shipped overnight unless that option is selected and paid for. We are not responsible for incorrect addresses provided by the buyer. HGC provides arrive alive protection on all orders delivered and received on-time. Please see the Arrive Alive policy above. We cannot be held responsible for loss due to carrier delay or fault. We find good communication and honesty to be the best policy. We strive to be the best humans we can be, and we request the same in return. Many issues can be avoided or remedied if you just reach out. We do our best to anticipate and communicate. Always feel free to contact us with any questions or concerns whether its before, during, or after your purchase. 

HGC provides industry leading and reasonable purchase protection policies and options. In order to do this, we trust in our customers to be honest in their claims. Attempted abuse of our policies or any attempt to defraud HGC will not be tolerated. Fraud attempts will be reported to the authorities and the hobby community. 

Chargebacks for partial or entire order including shipping without contacting us via email are illegal and will be prosecuted for fraud.
